Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded systems and a strong background in software development. This role involves working on cutting-edge mobile equipment for on/off-highway applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead for EN compliance, ensuring all embedded systems meet the cybersecurity requirements set by the new EU Machinery Regulation.Oversee software architecture that includes robust cybersecurity measures, such as secure boot, authenticated updates, and access control.Collaborate with telematics, controls, and standards teams to ensure cyber safety integration.Essential SkillsBachelor’s or master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience in embedded systems development for off-highway vehicles or on-highway control systems.Demonstrated experience in leading cybersecurity-sensitive embedded projects.Proficiency with C/C++, RTOS, CAN/J1939, boot-loader design, and secure firmware update mechanisms.Deep understanding of IEC and ISO/SAE standards.Strong familiarity with functional safety and cybersecurity co-engineering approaches.Proven success in aligning with EU regulatory requirements or CE compliance processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with MEWP/TMH platforms or other mobile off-highway equipment.Direct experience implementing cybersecurity features, such as secure OTA and tamper detection.Understanding of IEC and ISO standards.Knowledge of MISRA-C compliance.Hands-on familiarity with version control, static code analysis tools, and secure SDLC practices.Work Environment

The position is based in a cubicle team environment supporting multiple projects. The team collaborates closely to ensure the successful integration of cybersecurity measures across various mobile equipment projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $65.00/hr.
