Job Description
We are seeking experienced individuals with a passion for software integration and testing of real-time, embedded software. The role involves planning and executing various tasks in integrating hardware modules into combat vehicle systems, integrating software items onto Linux Operating Systems, scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening and scans, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and software verification testing.
Responsibilities
+ Possess knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
+ Work on programs involving the development, maintenance, upgrade, and porting of embedded product software and/or product support software.
+ Mentor less experienced software test engineers to develop their capabilities.
+ Collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls.
+ Ensure technical approaches are consistent with established engineering principles.
+ Ensure product outcomes meet customer needs and technical, system, performance, process, and quality requirements.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Proficiency in C++ and Linux.
+ Experience with software integration and CAN tools.
+ Capability to develop, debug, and execute automated and manual requirements-based software verification testing.
+ Ability to integrate and test software with various real-time operating systems like Linux/Unix derivatives.
+ Experience in building and maintaining a software and hardware integration testbed.
+ Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
+ Proficiency in version control and issue tracking tools such as Git and Jira/Gitlab.
+ Traceability across software requirements, design, and verification artifacts.
+ Familiarity with military and commercial design standards.
+ Experience with UML modeling tools and DOORS.
+ Understanding of CMMI for development.
+ Knowledge of Qt Framework for front-end GUIs.
+ Familiarity with Ethernet-based protocols (SSL/TLS, SSH, SFTP).
+ Experience with Nessus and Coverity cybersecurity scans.
+ Understanding system hardening and applying STIG rules.
+ Experience with virtual machines, software quality assurance, and white-box testing.
+ Experience in developing tests using NI Software (TestStand, VeriStand, LabView).
+ Experience in architectural level software design using Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, or similar tools.
+ Experience developing on VxWorks.
+ Familiarity with combat vehicle functionality and capability.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
