Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Translate business goals into technical requirements, conduct code and design reviews, and drive the technical implementation of web projects throughout the project lifecycle. Work with adjacent development teams to implement integrated technical solutions. Develop front-end code in a timely and high-quality manner while leveraging site standards including site structure, page templates, navigation and the site information architecture. Build AEM authoring components and templates. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web solutions that meet business needs. Utilize AEM to layout pages, troubleshoot issues, and train authors of the system. Use a shared standards library, support. Help with day-to-day operational tasks and assist in ensuring the quality of our website. Own and drive specific area(s) of website functionality such as search, videos, web site performance, including but not limited to, triage issues in those areas, prioritize enhancement stories and develop features for those areas of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, AEM Developer, Analytics Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, AEM Developer, Analytics Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Docker containerization including creating Docker images, managing Docker volumes and networks, and deploying Docker containers; developing and maintaining web applications using J2EE and JavaScript; dynamic web content and handling HTTP requests and responses; AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, Lambda, and CloudFront; AWS architecture, deployment and security; designing and developing web applications using AEM; Java; Java EE; Servlets; HTML; Perl; Linux shell scripts; developing software utilizing Spring Framework and Spring Boot; resolving application dependencies using Maven or Gradle; Java CMS frameworks including Apache Sling for content-centric application development; JSR-168 and JSR-286 for Portal development; Apache Felix for OSGi bundle development; Adobe AEM foundational concepts including Apache Sling and Apache Felix development and deployment process; WCM capabilities including Multi-site manager and Blueprinting, targeting and content publishing; Adobe suite for Digital marketing, analyzing web traffic, and content personalization including Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics; developing software in a Microservices environment that deploys as a REST API; building applications that utilize JSON and XML formatted data payloads for data transfer.
