What you'll do Join Viasat as a full-stack engineer in the developing networking and cyber security products and for diverse customer based. You will join a dynamic, multi-functional team that not only develop application but also designs, tests and supports their services. You will develop software to support seamless management of networking and cybersecurity products and emerging cryptographic solutions. This role will enable you to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle, from initial design through to successful implementation and ongoing support. You will collaborate closely with product management, product support, and UX design teams as new capabilities are developed, ensuring flawless delivery of services that meet our high standards. The day-to-day Develop and maintain web applications using modern backend and frontend technologies. Engage with multi-functional teams in designing, building, and shipping new features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Engage in code reviews and actively contribute to the team's development. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Maintain API and front-end libraries. What you'll need Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience with backend technologies such as Spring boot, Reactive programming using Kotlin or Java. Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Experience with using database technology as PostgreSQL. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. US citizenship and ability to obtain United States Secret Clearance is required. What will help you on the job Knowledge of cloud platforms containerization using dockers. Basic understanding of TCP/IP and common network configuration. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with testing frameworks and tools for end to end automated testing like Selenium, Cypress and Python. Experience with frontend technologies like TypeScript, JavaScript, and frameworks like React. Salary range $83,500.00 - $132,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $104,000.00- $156,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
