Software Engineer
This position is hybrid model in our Sao Bernardo do Campo unit.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Design, implement, and optimize software algorithms for real-time systems.Develop and maintain real-time software applications.Write procedural, object-oriented, and scripting code (C, C++, Java, Python).Maintain and refactor existing code to ensure high-quality standardsReview and debug code to ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices.Utilize compilers effectively to optimize software performance.Work within Linux environments (specifically RedHat-like or Rocky).Develop and maintain software specifications and documentation.Design software solutions that meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.Ensure requirement traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Participate in code reviews and mentor junior software engineers.Continuously update your technical knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and best practices.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.Proven expertise in software specification, requirement traceability, and software architecture.Strong knowledge on procedural languages (such as C).Knowledge on object-oriented programming languages (such as C++, Java).Knowledge on scripting languages like Python is a plus.Extensive experience working in Linux environments (RedHat-like or Rocky).In-depth understanding of software algorithms and their applications in real-time systems.Experience with compilers and profiling tools.Experience with Linux configurations, KVM and RPMs.Experience with critical systems in aerospace, defense, or similar industries is highly desirable.If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community!
