Software Engineer 3
CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer 3 opening for our client in Austin, TX. Location: Austin, TX (hybrid remote) Duties: Perform front-end/UI application development, enhancement, maintenance, and support for user-facing web applications. Develop, enhance, and maintain existing and new web-based J2EE/Portal applications using Agile methodologies. Participate in requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing, and deployment of new application components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve development goals. Create technical and design documentation. Perform system analysis, problem resolution, and performance tuning. Develop and maintain data and process models. Employ modern testing methods to ensure proper functionality and error-free applications. Provide technical support for application testing and implementation. Participate in design, coding, and test walk-throughs. Support production applications through defect resolution and performance optimization. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills: Proficient in front-end/UI development using Angular or similar frameworks on the J2EE platform. Expertise in HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, JSON, XML, ES5/ES6, NPM, Maven. Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and caching strategies. Strong understanding of responsive design and development for client-facing applications. Skilled in developing SPAs and reusable, testable modules/components. In-depth knowledge of programming concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and scalability. Experience ensuring ADA/Accessibility Compliance in UI design. Proficient in test-driven development with tools such as Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium. Familiarity with implementing best practices in application performance and maintainability. Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise-class front-end/UI development. 8+ years in full SDLC lifecycle participation. 8+ years in UI development for authentication, performance optimization, and accessibility. 5+ years of experience with: Spring Boot Java Applications (preferred) IBM WebSphere Application Server 8+ (preferred) Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum) (preferred) Developing web applications for Cloud platforms (preferred) CI/CD methodologies (preferred) Mobile and tablet platform development (preferred) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
