The Audience Segmentation Service is a key feature at Mailchimp, providing the ability to define customer segments and generate target audiences for marketing campaigns based on real-time customers’ profiles and shared behavior. Customer segment evaluations are sophisticated queries over large datasets, requiring scalability, efficiency and flexibility. This is a great opportunity for engineers to solve complex data problems, design scalable and performance systems, and build core user-facing capabilities that delight our customers. We have exciting plans for 2025 and are looking for engineers with focus on Data. You can expect to own the implementation of key feature on our technical roadmap. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, product managers, designers, and other engineers to create segmentation tools that are both powerful and easy to use. **What you'll bring** + You have experience in designing, evolving and maintaining application features in highly scalable and high throughput systems (required) + You have a solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices + Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) + Familiarity with data pipelines and streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.) + Coding experience in one or more web development languages and frameworks. You’ll be working with JVM-based languages (Kotlin, Java), PHP and React. + You’re a team player and have a good track record of navigating group collaboration and driving projects with quality and focus + You're self-started and don’t shy away from uncertainty during planning and execution + You value collaboration and know how to communicate with your and other teams to build great software together + You've broken production environments, resolved the issues, and extracted key insights to build a more robust and resilient system + Bonus points for experience in marketing automation, audience analytics, or machine learning–powered personalization **How you will lead** + Design and build scalable, high-performance services and APIs that enable segmentation features for millions of global customers. + Work cross-functionally to translate business and customer needs into technical solutions, understand how customers use their audience, and implement features to empower our customers with an understanding of their users' behavior. + Design, plan and support the modernization of the segmentation user experience and infrastructure. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that arise within segmentation, leveraging your technical expertise and analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. + Champion engineering excellence by improving system reliability, maintainability, and observability. + Develop full-stack features, including backend services and frontend interfaces. + Collaborate within your team, participate in planning, work sizing, and code reviews + Embrace and demonstrate values such as humility, creativity, and independence Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is: aNew York $136,000.00 - 184,000.00This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
