DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop, and implement software solutions. Lead architectural decisions and guide team in crafting robust solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Lead code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Mentor and train junior engineers to help them grow professionally and create their best work. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Data Engineering, or in a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Software Developer, or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Data Engineering, or in a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Software Developer, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing and developing distributed application and microservices in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Python and NodeJs; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization in Non-relational database like Mongo DB, Dynamo DB and Relational database like MySQL; Developing on front-end applications in React, Javascript, Typescript, Jquery and CSS; Performing infrastructure and CICD deployments using Maven, GIT and Jenkins with knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and AWS; Working on developing applications to support Data scientist; Performing Automated Testing, Functional Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, and Unit Testing.
