Job Duties: Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.31034)

 

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Development Manager-related occupation. Position requires:

Delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems; People management; Cloud infrastructure; Data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals; Managing teams of size 10+. Spread across multiple locations/datacenters; Databases and standard network architectures; Distributed Systems Fundamentals; Use of various types of software delivery processes; Talent and performance management; hiring; DevOps; and Automation of processes and automation of operations.
