Amazon Route 53 is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our platform team which owns and operates critical infrastructure and services for our edge fleets. Today, this team support two key edge products: the compute infrastructure (hardware, networking, os, and fleet management) used by our 100% available public DNS service in AWS Edge locations all over the world, and Route 53 Resolver for Outposts which is a managed service that provides low-latency DNS resolution for performance sensitive customers within their own data centers.

In this role you you will directly manage a team of talented Software Development and Systems Development Engineers and drive projects that span the wider AWS Infrastructure organization. The ideal candidate has experience managing engineers working on distributed systems, networking and infrastructure, and/or hybrid-clouds and thrives in highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment. Strong communication and writing skills are a must, as well as a strong focus on operational and engineering excellence.
