Job Description:
In this role, you will have an impact on Amazon's personalized shopping experience, and the satisfaction of being able to look back and say “I was a key contributor to something special from its earliest stages.”
The right person is an experienced Software Development Manager with proven experience leading a fast-moving engineering team. With a strong technical background in user-facing applications or frontend platforms, excellent communication (writing/verbal) skills, and solid people management abilities, you’ll manage and develop a talented and experienced engineering team.

Key job responsibilities
As part of this role, you will:

* Own the charter and vision of your team, and work with PM, UX, and Applied Science teams to build the best frontend shopping experiences for millions of Amazon customers.
* Hire and develop talents for your team.
* Work with stakeholders to build attractive roadmaps and deliver high-quality products for customers.
* Exhibit excellent judgment on how to prioritize between focusing on existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements and operational excellence.
* Improve and operate mechanisms that drive higher velocity for features and key decisions.
