We have an open seat for a strong engineering leader capable of executing initiatives that cut across DynamoDB's technical stack. As a software development manager on the DynamoDB team, you will lead a team of talented engineers to build reliable, highly scalable distributed systems. In 2025/2026 we will be further expanding DynamoDB functionality, giving our customers several new useful features. In this role you will own a customer-facing service, lead feature development, manage public launches, and operate your systems with excellence.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for customer-facing DynamoDB functionality.
- Shape the roadmap for your space, balancing feature development, supporting customers and operational investments.
- Drive the design and implementation of software initiatives, collaborating across teams and functions as necessary to achieve your goals.
- Analyze operational metrics and implement best practices and processes to minimize engineering churn and improve engineering efficiency.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence, influencing within your team and beyond.
