Our dream at HEINEKEN is to help our customers grow by serving them better, faster, and smarter with digital solutions. The last few years have seen a significant increase in the importance of digital solutions in the Commerce area at Heineken. These IT solutions have become a vital component in supporting the company's revenue. To ensure that this trend is supported and the IT in this area continues to grow, the new Commerce DevOps Hub is being established. The newly created organization, being an integral part of the Global Digital & Technology Function, is tasked with maintaining, but most importantly developing (functionally and technologically) IT solutions supporting the Commerce area at Heineken.

Commerce DevOps Hub is located in Kraków and will include highly qualified IT professionals with direct contribution to both the technological development of the Heineken Commerce and the Hub itself.

As the Software Devlopment Lead, you will be part of Monetize team. The Monetize teams focus on back-end services in the domains of Product Assortment, ePayments (Payment Orchestration), Loyalty management and Digital Promotions.

Within your role you will lead the team of Solution Engineers who configure, develop, implement, maintain and integrate our SaaS-solutions and custom solutions in the wider Commerce IT landscape. You will guide the team with technical strategy and ensure alignment with both architecture and business objectives. You combine hands-on expertise with leadership. Around 30–50% of your time is spent actively contributing to projects, while the rest is dedicated to guiding your team across strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities. You thrive in both execution and direction — making an impact at every level. You will be driving excellence in solution engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the solutions development lifecycle in our Commerce IT landscape, fostering a culture of technical creativity and staying ahead of technology trends.

Your responsibilities would include:

 

 leading and managing a team of experienced team members (Solution Engineers) in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions (both SaaS applications as well as PaaS/IaaS/Custom applications *) leading the internal and external team from a technical standpoint, and driving operational excellence, including code reviews, design reviews, testing, and deployment processes being an individual contributor (~50%) - engineering/configuring the software products/solutions, jointly with the team ensuring that the team adheres to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines, overseeing team spirit and team performance, guiding and mentoring team members overseeing and solving immediate technical challenges implementing best practices, coding standards and modern architecture for DevSecOps; be a „go-to person” for technical decisions and problem-solving within the team coordinating software development and addressing technical debt in the team inspiring, advising, and driving the selection of the development approach hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and developing top engineering talents, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement collaborating with other Engineers, Vendors, Dev Leads, Product Owner(s) and Product Architect(s) to assure that the team has a stable workload and a backlog of proper size creating documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure ongoing support and facilitate easy transfer of knowledge. Ensure that these resources are up-to-date and accessible.

 

Technology Stack:
Mandatory to know:

proven enterprise experience with SaaS- solutions and PaaS/IaaS/Custom applications in the respective domains of Loyalty management, Fintech and/or Digital Promotions (Preferably within the current stack; Epsilon - PeopleCloud Loyalty, ProcessOut - Payment Orchestration Platform or Talon.One. ) proven experience with configuration; user management (RBAC), business ruling/logic and workflows, integrations (e.g. Webhooks, API's, OAUTH), data modelling and security and compliancy settings in an Enterprise environment proven experience with software development; design, and develop high-performance, modular, and scalable applications using programming languages: C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript experience with API integrations: REST, SOAP, Web API experience in solution architecture (MACH) and integration patterns with other enterprise systems and back-end applications familiarity with SQL for querying data and understanding database structuresexperience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies can be helpful for deploying and managing applications YAGNI/ SOLID / KISS / DRY mindset experience using GIT or other version control framework. Extra credit if you can point us to your Github account.

GraphQL Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) for creating custom applications and automating processes within the Microsoft ecosystem Power BI: For reporting and data visualization, often integrated into solutions for dashboards and analytics Azure services and integrations, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps security best practices (role-based access control (RBAC), OAuth 2.0, and basic encryption practices) and compliance requirements within enterprise applications ETL Tools: Familiarity with data extraction and transformation tools, which is especially useful in environments with multiple data sources familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance standards is especially important in highly regulated industries experience with tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello for tracking progress and managing tasks.

 

You are a good candidate if you have:

 

 8+ years of working experience in a relevant field, combining SaaS/PaaS/IaaS/Custom applications in the respective domains hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of the mandatory to know technologies mentioned in the sections above strong understanding and implementation of software development principles, coding standards, and modern architecture at a global scale proven ability to lead software development teams of engineers with varying experience and adapt to team sizes from small to large inquisitive, problem-solving skills, pragmatic, and collaborative leader mindset thrive in a fast-paced, agile and changing environment and see challenges as an opportunity to improve
ability to take initiative and a start-up mindset, demonstrating resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving strong capability to work effectively in situations of ambiguity, adapting to evolving needs and priorities excellent written and verbal English.
