Job DescriptionWhat will you be doing?
Maintain and develop internal applications using MATLAB app designer. Liaising with experienced engineers to understand existing processes and calculations. Suggest and implement changes to allow faster processing of daily tasks. Implement QOL updates, functional updates, and bug fixes in existing applications, ensuring requirements are met. Create specifications for the development of new software applications. Maintain working access to SQL database for information storage. Working to continuously improve departmental tools, methods, processes, and documentsReview stakeholder requirements for new developments to define clear specificationsSuggest and implement processes to allow faster processing or daily tasksAnalysis of market information, customer specifications and internal test dataCreation, modification and maintenance of EPR4 documents and programsDevelop improved calculationsQualificationsWhat are we looking for?
Currently studying for a Bachelors or Master’s in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or similarKeen interest in software engineering, coding and developing understanding of software languagesEnjoyment in problem solving and researching solutions for challenging problemsCreating a link between software applications and mechanical engineering calculationsAnalytical capabilitiesAble to demonstrate initiative and strong organisational skillsWorked as part of a project team and solving problems as a teamDemonstrable experience with intermediate and advanced excel tools and functionsExperience with Matlab or MathcadSkills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPointAdditional InformationYour future job role offers you:
