Job Description Summary

In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilities

Common accountabilities:

Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area. ​Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.​Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

Specific accountabilities:

Analyze specifications

Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.

Design systems and code

Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.Develop software according to Amadeus standards.Model, design and implement databases.

Test and maintain the software

Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.

Document your work

Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.

About the ideal candidate

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Previous internship or 1–3 years of experience in software development or a similar role (for junior roles, internships may suffice).

Technical Skills:

Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python).Experience with database modeling, design, and implementation (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).Familiarity with software testing (unit, integration, performance) and debugging practices.Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
