Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. 2. Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry. 3. Build and maintain distributed AI systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. 4. Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems. 5. About the team The Alexa Smart Home Science team is a team of Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Software Developers that work together to make Alexa more insightful and proactive through ambient intelligence, with features like Alexa+ Moments that helps users search for interesting events captured by their Ring cameras. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience programming with at least one modern languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or equivalent object-oriented languages. Further, experience with AWS or equivalent cloud technologies. Experience working on building machine learning pipelines on the cloud and edge. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
