Job Duties: Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.21132)

 

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development Director related occupation. Position requires:

RDBMS, GI, RAC, and Exadata; Database High availability; DataGard and GoldGate, including best practices and performance tuning; Advanced Scripting/coding with Shell, Perl and Python; Building and managing Linux OS systems; Linux kernel, including IO and Network; Building and managing Virtualized systems including KVM, OVM, and Containers/Docker; Reading and understanding source code; and Analytical skills to identify problems root cause.
