The .Net Software Development Analyst II is responsible for the review, analysis, and modification of programming systems including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs for new or existing systems in accordance with project plans and specifications. The Analyst II is responsible for providing accurate and timely completion of technical development and support tasks in accordance with Information Systems standards and methodologies.

Responsibilities Work with end users and other Information Services staff to develop criteria for specific phases of assigned projects, and ensure proper testing of all developed solutionsAssist in the design and development of database schemasLead the development of small applications with minimal supervisionDevelop software tasks in accordance with Information System standards and methodologiesProvide technical mentoring to the more junior developersAddress help desk tickets relating to development issuesDevelop reports, upon request, utilizing various report-writing tools in all applicationsEnsure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented targetsReview outstanding issues on a daily basis to assure that troubleshooting and resolutions are currentRecognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Submit recommendations as Participate in relevant information-sharing activitiesMonitor and report on any security violations related to the unwarranted access to corporate dataEnsure that all problems are resolved in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain awareness of the rapidly changing environment and recommend cost efficient techniquesCreate, maintain and update disaster recovery procedures when changes in hardware or applications occurEnsure all changes comply with change management policies and proceduresLearn new software development technologies and environmentsThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Education/Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or similar field from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experienceIn lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa

 

Job-related ExperienceCustomarily has at least 5 or more years of software development, production support or operational supportExperience to include:At least one of the .NET languages (e.g., C#, Visual Basic .NET)Service-Oriented ArchitectureInteracting with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML, )Front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular JS, Utilizing Agile methodologiesLarge scale multi-site IS operationsPC Hardware and peripheralMicrosoft or Java productivity applicationsBrowser-based technologyOperating systems such as Windows and OSWorking knowledge around Azure Functions / Azure web applications preferred
