**Introduction**
We are seeking a young and highly motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
**Your role and responsibilities**
Works in an agile, collaborative environment to build, deploy, configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, updates, and core services. Works with development teams to enable a continuous integration environment that
sustains high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques. Ensures delivery pipeline from dev/test, staging and production and perform A/B testing. Automates, measures and optimizes the system performance, availability, and processes.
Designs and implements tools for automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments. Works with AWS, Azure, Github, Okta, Terraform, etc.
Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.
Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using scripting languages, primarily Python.
Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Bitbucket Pipelines (or equivalent systems if both are used for different projects).
Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and services into our cloud environments, ensuring smooth deployments and operations.
Implement and manage identity and access management solutions, leveraging platforms like Okta for secure authentication and authorization.
Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards across all cloud environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed (if applicable).
Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Experience in cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure.
Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
GNU/Linux experience (Ubuntu, Red Hat).
Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git (experience with GitHub and Bitbucket preferred).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Experience with identity and access management solutions.
Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Database administration experience (SQL/NoSQL).
Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks.
