Software Developer 3 - Multicloud

At Multicloud Services organization, our mission is to support customer choice, transparency, and value when it comes to cloud infrastructure. We make it easy for our customers to maximize the value of their Oracle investment as well as other clouds or on-premises infrastructure, and build highly distributed, scalable, and resilient Multicloud solutions to support their business.

We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of cloud service software engineering: high-scale distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, identity, security, observability, and user experience.

This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud services from the ground up. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. An engineer at any level can have a significant technical and business impact here. You will be part of a team of smart, motivated, diverse people, and given the autonomy as well as support to do your best work. It is a dynamic and flexible workplace where you’ll belong and be encouraged. You will be part of the centralized architecture team responsible for developing and disseminating architecture roadmaps for comprehensive multicloud initiatives, encompassing networking, child sites, parent sites, control planes, security, observability, high availability, reliability, disaster recovery, reference architecture, and maximum availability architecture.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for engineers with experience in building control plane components for public cloud services, including Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.

You have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production. You have built and operated high-scale public cloud services and have a deep understanding of control plane architecture. You work on most projects and tasks independently and extend technical leadership to development teams.

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff you will own the software design and development
for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
