Software Engineer 2 - Member Technical Staff

 

This position is onsite/hybrid in our Pleasanton, CA office - remote option is not available for this role.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to join the FDI team. In this role, you’ll build and operate massive-scale, integrated cloud services that power our next-gen analytics platform. You'll work on a "lights-out" data pipeline—the backbone of FDI—that manages the data warehouse for customers across the globe. This is a rare opportunity to work on deeply technical problems in a cloud-native, multi-tenant environment where your work will directly impact thousands of customers and millions of users.

 

What You’ll Do?

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, and highly available data systems. Build large-scale distributed data pipelines that power automated data ingestion, transformation, and warehousing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA to deliver high-impact features. Drive innovation in data engineering best practices, architecture, and tooling within a cloud-native environment. Ensure system security, performance, and reliability in a multi-tenant SaaS setup.

 

Qualifications:

BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of applied experience Strong programming skills in Scala, and Java Experience in Big-Data area, preferably Spark/Parquet Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals Should be able to write SQL queries and have experience working with database through Java/Scala Be a champion for CI/CD and development best practices, especially around automation and testing Experience building high-performance, resilient, scalable and well-engineered systems A creative and growth mindset and willingness to solve challenging problems and learn new skills on the job Good communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate engineering designs Prior experience with Oracle Cloud, or Oracle Analytics is a big plus
