Buyers will negotiate with providers to achieve the best contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction. They should understand best practices, market competition, and develop robust Category Strategies to meet Ford’s needs. **What You'll Be Able to Do:** + Drive on-time sourcing of key software in initiatives within cost and regulatory requirements. + Align Ford Integrated Services sourcing strategies with other business unit strategies to maximize leverage. + Lead sourcing + Build strong cross-functional relationships within the various internal business units and departments to further algin on strategic category vision and savings opportunities. + Drive and support Supply Base optimization and strategic priorities through leverage of the Enterprise spend. + Be a progressive thinker, seeking out ways to drive efficiencies, find cost savings, or spend reduction opportunities, with intelligence of what is best in class. **The Minimum Requirements We Seek:** + Bachelor’s Degree, master’s degree preferred, not mandatory (or in progress) + 5+ years of supply chain/commodity/program management experience + Strong communicator that can effectively transition from bottom-up details to concise, clear executive-level messaging. + Ability to build relationships and trust across organizations to drive decisions and alignment. + Strong data & analytics understanding for synthesis of complex data into clear, understandable format. + Initiative-taking and resourceful; comfortable with navigating ambiguity. + Flexible and adaptable attitude to changing priorities. + Collaborative leader and collaborator. + Ability to creatively problem solve, adjust priorities, and manage workload with agility in the team, to deliver business critical objectives. **Our Preferred Qualifications:** + 8+ years of supply chain/program/commodity management experience in the Automotive industry + Strong understanding of Information Technology offerings and across Indirect categories + Strong process competency and knowledge across complex sourcing processes (Power Apps, Ariba SLP, S2C, and P2P) You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
