What success looks like in this role:
• Provides Business Systems Analysis support within a defined business or process area.
• Experience working Agile/Scrum environments with iterative development cycles
• Works with supported stakeholders to understand high-level business objectives, processes, priorities and challenges.
• Reviews and refines business requirements and use cases to ensure they are clear, concise and traceable.
• Performs and/or contributes to team efforts to perform:
o Process-specific requirements analysis through interviews, document and artifact analysis, development of business process descriptions, and task and workflow analysis,
o Detailed process documentation, including system requirements and process flows / use cases. and
o Planning initiatives, feasibility studies, cost / benefit analyses and new system design.
• Collaborates with internal and external users / clients to elicit business concerns and develop workable solutions.
• Helps with process enhancement feasibility studies and the development of data-supported justification documentation.
• Helps determine impact on existing systems and processes.
• Maintains a strong and collaborative relationship with business and IT colleagues.
• Supports the business in developing and delivering end user training.
• Addresses end user process questions and collaborates with IT colleagues to provide process / system support and ongoing issue analysis / correction.
• Develops progress reports and communicates project status to team and manager.
• When required, BAs on the team should be prepared to support system testing requirements in addition to providing UAT testing support. This would involve creating and executing test plans and cases based on functional and design specifications as well as documenting test outcomes and working with the team to resolve any defects.
• Some technical knowledge to assist with back end testing/validation would be an asset.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
BA/BS degree and 3-5 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrate Business analysis, requirements and/or product ownership acumen with certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication is vital in this client facing role.
• Experience working in Public sector
• Experience with the AMANDA product suite would be a key asset
• This is a very fast paced environment with very little downtime supporting a complex enterprise system. The ideal candidate will need to be prepared to jump in and figure things out with minimal support and work collaboratively with the team to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
