Your roleat ZEISS Medical Technology: As a Software Architect, you will help improve healthcare by designing and engineering software for next-generation medical devices. You will work in a modern, innovative environment and develop high-end surgical microscopes for neu-rosurgery.
Your main tasks will include
Taking ownership of the conception and ongoing development of the software architecture
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to the development team
Supporting technical questions, challenges, and troubleshooting
Collaborating closely with other development teams and departments
Coordinating technical aspects with external development partners
Creating technical and release documentation, as well as architecture diagrams
Supporting cybersecurity activities, including evaluating analysis results
Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards and specifications
Designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions
Your profileA university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years as a Software Architect in regulated envi-ronments (medical, automotive, military)
Extensive experience in developing and owning software architecture for complex systems
Strong knowledge of C++ 14/17/20, with a proven track record of implementing complex software solutions
Preferable experience with CMake and Conan or comparable build and packaging mechanisms
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Development (OOD, OOP) and design patterns
Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including agile practices
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and software engineering skills
Experience in mentoring and leading development teams
Proficient verbal and written skills in English, and preferably in German as well
