Job Details:
Position: Social Worker – Children’s Services (Social Care Qualified)Location: Godfrey Road, Newport, South Wales, NP20 4UREmployment Type: Temporary (12 weeks)Start Date: 30 June 2025Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)Rate: PAYE: £29.22 per hour | Umbrella: £38.55 per hourWorking Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week office-based)About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed Children’s Services team, focusing on child protection. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting children and families, working collaboratively within a supportive team to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake assessments and manage child protection casesDevelop and implement care plans to support children and familiesWork closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomesMaintain accurate and up-to-date case recordsAttend meetings, reviews, and court proceedings as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registrationExperience in child protection and children’s servicesStrong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a hybrid environmentEligible to work in the UKRequired Documents:
