Responsibilities

Provides clinical social work services for facilitating solutions to the medically related psychosocial/environmental problems of patients and families. Ensures the continuity of patient care by providing behavioral health interventions and clinical follow up. Clinical services   include initial assessment, brief behavioral health interventions, long-term counseling, group counseling, and coordination and referral to community treatment. Must be proficient with DSM codes and be able to bill for clinical services rendered. May provide educational support to Mayo Clinic staff. Maintains positive working relationships with collaborating specialties, vendors, and external agencies to access services for patients. This LCSW position will assess data reflective of patient status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.

May provide educational support to staff. Maintains positive working relationships with vendors and external agencies to access services for patients. The individual must possess the ability to clinically assess, diagnose and treat emotional mental health issues. Must be proficient with DSM codes and be able to bill for clinical services rendered. This LCSW position will assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.



Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work. One year of current experience in a clinic, hospital, medical setting, or healthcare field preferred. Must have knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease. Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, family members/ care givers, providers and allied health staff. Must have psychosocial diagnostic skills and ability to coordinate transition of care.

Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Service Examiners; Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.

$72,280 - $108,388 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
