its multi-sectoral response plan including; Food and nutrition, WASH and Protection of children and women affected by the humanitarian
crises. WVE Child Protection interventions includes establishing of Child Friendly Spaces in selected IDP sites and addressing gender based
violence (GBV) related needs by integrating into the other sectors to further strengthen a coherent protection response.
The emphasis of this position is on facilitating community participation and enabling children and women access protection services to reduce
their vulnerabilities and provide case management service for survivors.
Major responsibilities
20 % Assist the project officer in situational assessment, operational planning, implementation and monitoring of the IDP activities.30 %Provide individual and group psychological first aid/psycho-social support to children and women affected by the conflict to enable them to restore their safety, dignity and hope.20 % Facilitate consultation and discussions with beneficiary populations, making sure they are involved in needs assessment, delivery of protection/assistance and development/implementation of durable solutions.20 % Closely work with local authorities and relevant government sector (women and children affairs, education, social affairs, schools etc) to facilitate recovery and reiteration of the affected population.10 %Coordinate and manage the establishment of child friendly spaces in collaboration with school, local authorities, and faith leaders.KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Requirements
1. First degree in social work, sociology, psychology, education or other eleven fields.
2. At least one-year relevant experience in child protection and related areas,
3. Knowledge and experience on Gender Based Violence programming an asset.
4. Knowledge of and ability to implement integrated CP responses, including Gender Based Violence.
5. Awareness of or interest in community-based protection mechanisms.
6. Direct case management and experience working with children and adolescents is an asset.
7. Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving

3. Extensive training in the fields of CP/GBV, psycho-social wellbeing, case management and application of international technical guidelines and standards in Child
