Overview
Catholic Charities is seeking a full-time Social Worker (MSW) for our Family Enrichment department. Those credentialed as a mental health counselor could be an ideal fit for this position. The office location is 1581 Bailey Ave Buffalo, NY 14212 .

Job Responsibilities
+ Exemplify Catholic Charities' mission, vision, guiding principles and values. Cultivate a culture of equity and inclusion.
+ Communicate, comply with, promote and monitor integrity and ethical performance, consistent with Catholic Charities' Corporate Compliance, Code of Ethics, HIPAA, legal mandates & labor laws, managing contractual/funder regulations & accreditation standards, regulations, policies and procedures (e.g. COA, BBB)
+ Engage in weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members
+ Provide client-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused trauma-informed care in the context of systems. Cultivate a culture of sensitivity and respect for diversity.
+ Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context.
+ Work comfortably with a diverse community of clients
+ Continuously work to engage the parent, primary caregiver, family members, supports, and collateral contacts including (counselors, ECDSS, etc...)
+ Is respectful, empowering, strength-focused, responsive, empathic, and able work with parents to challenge behaviors and increase their understanding of their children's needs.
+ Demonstrates ability to intervene when needed during access, to ensure children's safety.
+ Willing and able to work with mandated clients and deescalate and/or manage conflict if it arises
Qualifications
+ Master's degree in clinical or counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area preferred, or a bachelor's degree with experience working with family and/or youth services will be considered. New master's level graduates are encouraged to apply.
+ Consistent use of strengths-based trauma-informed care approach.
+ Effective assessment and engagement skills with mandated clients.
+ Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule including two evenings and one partial weekend day to facilitate visits.
+ As responsibilities may require travel including transporting children, must have appropriate and reliable transportation, and an agency-required level of auto insurance coverage and be able to travel as needed.
