Social Security Specialist – Temporary Project (14 Months)

At Siemens GBS, we’re committed to compliance and operational excellence. Join us as a Social Security Specialist on a 14-month temporary project, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring accurate contributions to Mexican Social Security institutions and supporting employee well-being.

What will be your responsibilities?

As a Social Security Specialist, you will be accountable for managing employer obligations with IMSS, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT, including:

Determining and processing social security contributions and credits (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT) accurately and on time.

Handling variability in compensation by calculating social security base salary according to fluctuating employee earnings.

Using tools such as SUA and IDSE for contribution reporting, employee updates, and employer filings.

Managing employer registrations and employee records, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes.

Preparing documentation for and responding to IMSS and INFONAVIT audits.

Advising employees about their social security rights, including access to medical services and housing credits.

Coordinating with payroll, HR, labor relations, and health & safety to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Implementing improvements in the payroll system related to social security calculations and processes.

Controlling and reconciling INFONAVIT and FONACOT credits.

What do you need to succeed?

3–5 years of experience in social security.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related administrative field.

Strong command of IMSS, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT & LFT law, including handling variable salaries and how they affect contributions.

Proficiency with tools such as SUA, IDSE, and platforms like PeopleSoft, ICSOE, SISUB.

Intermediate English and confident use of Microsoft Office.

 Key Competencies

Solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and numerical skills.

Clear written and verbal communication to collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR BPs, Payroll, Legal, etc.).

Eagerness to learn, adapt, and propose improvements.

Collaborative and proactive attitude with high attention to detail.

About the role

This is a temporary position for a project lasting approximately 14 months, with high collaboration across internal teams and compliance impact across the organization.
