Social Impact and Sustainability Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

The Social Impact and Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for acquisition of corporations ESG/ CSR budget, retails budget (from CSR or Cause-Related Marketing effort), and foundations in Indonesia. She/ he will lead the development of program proposals or contract bids specific for the identified donors or opportunities, in coordination with all relevant departments. The job holder will be a key contributor in the execution of funding from Corporations, Foundations, and Retails acquisition plan/ strategy, partnership development, donor relations, proposal development and funding management. She/ he is also expected to facilitate and promote knowledge sharing and learning in her/ his area of work, i.e. fundraising and project management.

Resource Acquisition & Management

Contribute to the development and review of short and long-term acquisition and management strategies that build upon the WVI’s area of excellence and core programs

Gather relevant intelligence information, undertake research to identify corporates, retails, foundations (donor) interests and priorities, and scope potential partnership to complement and strengthen WVI’s program portfolio and reach.

Develop proposal aligned with the program priorities and donor interests, in close coordination with program team, program specialist, finance, procurement and other staff, to preposition WVI in successfully acquiring funding

Support the conduct of market study, donor mapping and development of capture plan to maintain a robust and healthy corporate pipeline

Monitor funding status for each project within programs to identify possible funding gaps and ensure smooth transition from one donor source to the next.

Contribute strategically to development of Ministry Funding Strategy and Donor Engagement plans

Short and long-term corporates, foundations and retail acquisition and management strategies.

Availability of proposals that are aligned with the program priorities.

Market studies, donor mapping, capture plans for corporates, foundations and retail funding pipeline.

Partnership Development and Donor Relations

Maintain an updated contact database of existing and potential donors and partners.

Collaborate with communications and other functions in developing materials and identifying appropriate medium to effectively reach the donors and other stakeholders, expand visibility, enhance organizational reputation, and increase public awareness of WVI funded projects. 

Identify key stakeholders and networks relevant to priority pipeline opportunities for effective corporates, foundations, and retail prepositioning and management. 

Lead the communication and coordination with Support Offices, Donors and Partners regarding funding opportunities, and concept/proposal/technical application development and submission.

Updated contact database of existing and potential donors.

Concept/ Proposal Development

Monitor calls for proposals and other funding opportunities and analyze funding opportunities based on their specificities and technical requirements in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.

Lead and coordinate the Go/No-Go process for new funding opportunities.

Lead and coordinate the Due Diligence process for new partners engaged in the acquisition. 

Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team in concept/proposal development process to ensure that narratives, budget and other supporting documentations are compiled and submitted on or before the application deadline.

Develop concept/proposal outlines, compliance matrices, deliverable schedules, management plans, and facilitate proposal review meetings to address quality and compliance issues.

Perform other tasks that may include writing, editing, and revising the technical application (e.g. capacity statements, past performance references, reports and evaluations) and budget to meet the specified requirements and expected level of quality.

Coordinate input and feedback from relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance of concept notes/proposals/technical applications.

Other tasks are completed and fulfilled according to the specified requirements and the expected level of quality.

Pre and Post-Award

Prepare various pre-award specific approval/deviation/waiver requests (if any)

Lead the communication and coordination with Donors, and Partners up to Award issuance. Ensure proper handover of communications and documentations to program team after issuance of funding awards.

Participate in Start-Up Workshops to support facilitation and contribute to improved understanding of all relevant stakeholders of the proposals/technical applications.

Capacity Building

Explore the capacity building session together with the Donor Partnership Lead to strive for excellent deliverables for the organization.

Accountability & Quality Assurance

Ensure regular communication through provision of donor reports, share of information that demonstrate the impact and outcomes of WVIDN and partners’ investments to secure sustainable partnerships.

Ensure database of supporters' contact is developed and maintained.

Ensure that donors comply with all Organization Policies include Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, Conflict of Interest, e-Mail & IT Access.

Ensure the prospect donors receive the proper information needed to enhance their trust and loyalty and to avoid expectation gap.

Submits periodical/monthly accomplishment report.

Regularly update Orange, Horizon, PBAS and PIH with key documents, according to agreed timeframe and RACI.

Establish and maintain a repository of proposal development templates, pre-award tools, program concepts, capacity statements, proposal templates, pricing tables, reports, project evaluations, etc. in coordination with the concerned staff from M&E and KML.

Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department.

Availability periodical/monthly accomplishment reports.

Updated relevant systems/databases including ORANGE, Horizon, PBAS and PIH.

Repository is managed and maintained well.

Knowledge/ Qualifications for The Role

Bachelor's degree from Business Administration, Social Sciences or any relevant fields 

Min. 3 years working experience in Marketing, B2B, Sales or Fund Raising Project

Familiar with public fundraising with corporates, foundations, shopping malls and retails

Strong commercial orientation with discerning interpersonal skills.

Good analytical skill

Proficiency in English language skills, both written and spoken (TOEFL score min 500) 

Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines and projects

Proven presentation skill

Good knowledge in proposal preparation and program management

Travel: Domestic and International may be required.

Ability to attend social weekends and evening’s events as needed

Comfortable with and excited by managing in an entrepreneurial environment with complex work stream
