Overview Bring your passion for skiing! Base wages PLUS a seasonal loyalty bonus! As our SnowSports Nordic Instructor, you will help our guests safely learn to classic and skate ski, so that they can have a memorable day in the mountains with the goal of creating lifelong skiers and snowboarders. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Deliver engaging classic and skate ski lessons that align with PSIA-Nordic instructional standards. Communicate clearly with guests, teammates, and leadership in a dynamic, people-centered setting. Assess guest needs through terrain use, skill evaluation, and conversations to recommend appropriate lesson plans. Collaborate with peers and leads to create well-balanced groups based on ability, experience, and goals. Support the growth of the SnowSports School community by promoting positivity and inclusiveness within the team. Maintain consistent attendance for scheduled programming, especially during peak business periods (21 designated "Red Days") Qualifications What we are looking for: Have excellent guest service skills. Able to work holidays and weekends per seasonal demands and business needs. Flexible with work days and hours Sixteen (16) years or older at the time of hire PSIA - AASI Certification, a plus. Wage and Benefit Info: Base Wage Dependent Upon Certifications: from $21.50 to $23.50 Certs/Dual Discipline Hourly Stipend: from $0.25 to $1.00 Accreditations Hourly Stipends: from $0.50 to $1.50 Tenure >1 year - Hourly Stipend: from $0.50 to $2.50 Product Incentives - hourly/student: from $0.75 to $8.00 End of Season loyalty bonus: 5% of Gross Wages This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
