Your mission will be… As a Snowflake Platform Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our enterprise Data & AI platform built on Snowflake. Collaborating with fellow lead architects and engineers, you will take ownership of platform topics, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant delivery in line with strategic architectural direction. Your focus will include architecture design, hands-on development, implementation of best practices, and driving platform compliance and security efforts. Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Development & Evolution: Technical design and implementation of platform-related topics, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability in line with architectural direction. Contribute to the development of platform features, and automation, supporting the continuous evolution of the Snowflake-based Data & AI environment.Automation & Monitoring: Develop automated solutions for platform provisioning, CI/CD integration, and monitoring. Ensure observability and performance tuning for optimal platform reliability.Collaboration: Work closely with fellow architects, engineers, security experts and stakeholders across data domains to ensure successful implementation of platform initiatives.Knowledge Sharing & Documentation: Create clear technical documentation and promote engineering best practices across the team.Compliance & Security Implementation: Ensure that security best practices are embedded in platform operations (RBAC, encryption, data governance, etc.). Coordinate and support compliance-related initiatives including penetration tests and internal/external audits.Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Snowflake advancements and data platform trends. Identify opportunities for platform innovation and efficiency gains.
We are looking for someone with…A degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development, with extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including platform development, optimization, and security featuresStrong knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices for designing robust data platforms.Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake-specific features, capabilities and security model. Experience with dbt is a strong plus.Hands on experience in developing procedures with scripting languages (e.g.: Python and JavaScript).Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure automationFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their integration with SnowflakeKnowledge of data platform security and compliance topics, including audit processes.Passionate about writing code that is efficient, readable and elegantly designed.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
