Snowflake Cloud Data Architect
As a Snowflake Architect, you will Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Snowflake, SnowSQL, Airflow, experience in data warehousing, and a good understanding of ETL processes, along with proficiency in Hive and Big Data Analytics to drive data modernization initiatives effectively. **We are Cognizant Artificial Intelligence:** Digital technologies, including analytics and AI, give companies a once-in-a-generation opportunity to perform orders of magnitude better than ever before. With the power to apply artificial intelligence and data science to business decisions via enterprise data management solutions, we help leading companies prototype, refine, validate, and scale the most desirable products and delivery models to enterprise scale within weeks. **In this role, you will:** + Design and implement data integration processes from legacy systems to Snowflake. + Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. + Configure and optimize Snowflake data pipeline and environments to meet specific business needs and performance requirements. + Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Snowflake, SnowSQL, and Airflow. + Handle end to end implementation of Snowflake data solutions, including the development of data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrations. + Optimize and tune Snowflake performance, including query optimization, resource management, and scaling strategies. + Develop and manage documentation of data architecture, data models, and ETL processes. + Design and develop Data Engineering solutions using Snowpark API with Scala, Java, Python. + Address data issues, environment issues, performing impact analysis, root cause analysis, corrective, adaptive and perfective maintenance. **What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):** + Minimum 10-15 years of strong background in designing and implementing data architectures, ideally with experience in cloud migration and data modernization. + Must have 4+ years of expertise in planning, designing, developing and maintaining the data architecture for various Data Integration, Data Warehouse and Data Sharing projects in Snowflake. + Good experience in migration of data solutions from On-premise and Big Data platforms to Snowflake. + Proficiency in Hive, Airflow, and Big Data Analytics. + Expertise in Snowflake advanced concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Data sharing, Data Masking and Data Replication Zero copy clone, time travel, and understanding how to use these features. + Knowledgeable in Snowflake on Cloud Platform Administration and Account setup. + Knowledge of current and emerging system design, development concepts and technologies including agile development methodology, cloud-based solutions and services, web portals, data migration, business/data modelling methodologies, Enterprise Application Integration, business intelligence and decision support for a multi-tiered, multi-platform, network centric computing environment. + Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with corporate clients, external stakeholders and vendors. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. **What will help you stand out (preferred skills):** + Snowflake Advanced Architecture Certification. + Certification in any cloud technology: AWS, Azure, GCP. + Experience in languages: Python, Java, Scala. + Banking Domain Experience.
