The ServiceNow Technical Specialist plays an important role in helping define Nissan’s global ITSM and ITOM Strategy and Architecture, as well as providing technical guidance to ServiceNow development teams. He/she also serves as a trusted consultant to global Nissan Digital and business stakeholders on any technical and process topics related to ServiceNow.
Job Functions
Serve as the technical authority on any technical and functional aspects of ServiceNow, especially all function modules within the ServiceNow platform, APIs to other systems, and how they can benefit Nissan both regionally and globally.
Participate in the development of Nissan ITSM process and tools roadmap.
Develop the technical architecture of ServiceNow implementations and serve as the solution architect for major regional and global ServiceNow tools projects.
Develop and maintain the technical and development standards of ServiceNow tools and ensure the standards are adopted and applied across all regions.
Lead data analysts, CMDB leads, and developers to develop and update the ServiceNow data model, API architecture, and system context diagrams.
Coach ServiceNow developers and other technical resources to develop technical skills and guide them to improve the quality of product delivery.

Technical Skills:
ServiceNow Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of all functional modules within the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM, ITOM, HR, IRM, GRC, and Customer Services.
API Integration: Proficiency in integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs.
Technical Architecture: Ability to develop and maintain the technical architecture for ServiceNow implementations.
Development Standards: Establishing and enforcing technical and development standards for ServiceNow tools.
Data Modeling: Experience in developing and updating ServiceNow data models, API architecture, and system context diagrams.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, Bootstrap, SOAP/REST API, and understanding of relational databases.
ITSM Tools: Extensive knowledge of ITSM tools and processes.
Emerging Technologies: Understanding of DevOps, Cloud, and other emerging technologies that impact ITSM processes and tools.
Security: Knowledge of network and application security disciplines
Strong collaboration capability and the ability to influence decision-makers and global teams without formal authority
Relevant certifications: (Nice to have)
ITIL V3 (and understanding of ITIL V4)
