The Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment is responsible for the development and/or sourcing of manufacturing equipment to support manufacturing operations goals. Scope of job may include design and development of equipment, qualification, deployment to manufacturing, improving performance and supporting programs to optimize efficiencies while maintaining a safe working environment.
Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Responsible on sustaining job with response SMT machines (Screenprint/API/Pick&Place/Reflow oven)
Monitor breakdown for preventive maintenance and OEE improvement (Equipment breakdown prevention)
Monitor Machine Performance improvement (Reduce cycle time/increase UPH) in order to achieve with production demand
Machine spare part management (MOQ review) including critical items (ABC classification)
Support capability & function of machine for new product qualification
Perform new machine installation & re-layout for line commissioning
Provide Machine Procedure, Preventive Maintenance document
Communicate with vendor for SOW provide including RFQ for PR issue
Work with Supplier for Machine modification and Improvement
Simply part and tooling design for cursory drawing

Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Occasional travel may be required.
