SMT Engineer

Coordinates the activities of a group of operators, group leaders and technicians to ensure the execution of the manufacturing schedule based on the production plan, considering volume, quality and cost requirements, ensures proper maintenance of the schedule and follows process instructions. Handles production issues by coordinating with all support areas.
**JOB DUTIES:**
+ Develops and implements operating instructions for each workstation.
+ Develops and implements process instructions.
+ Develops and optimizes SMT Automatic Component Inspection (AOI) and Pulp Printing (SPI) equipment programs for production models, validations, and NPI.
+ SPC Data Analysis of Automatic Inspection Equipment for SMT Process Feedback
+ Development and training of the technical and operational personnel involved in the automatic inspection equipment for its operation.
+ Develops and implements the program for assembling and placing components in SMT machinery.
+ Optimizes the assembly and placement program of components and the performance of the machinery.
+ Supports NPI activities to achieve a successful product introduction.
+ Applies production methods and standards in compliance with safety programs.
+ Meets training requirements.
+ It supports and gives results on the training and awareness of its personnel in the objectives, goals, aspects, impacts, improvements and operational controls to raise awareness about environmental care.
+ Actively participates in the 5S+1 Program, which is a critical business objective, ensuring compliance with the program's regulations and carrying out the activities required of him or her as an Auditor, Coordinator, Leader or member of the Committee.
+ Actively participates in the Safety and Environmental Systems, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the systems and carrying out the activities in which they are involved.
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ 3 – 5 years of experience in the SMT area.
+ Experience in developing and implementing the assembly and placement program of components in SMT machinery.
+ Support NPI activities to achieve a successful product introduction
+ Carry out DFM analysis of new products to verify if the design will fit the plant's manufacturing processes.
+ Feedback to the Design Engineer to follow up on improving/correcting out-of-spec features in the design.
+ Coordinates and carries out pilot runs in the SMT area, validating and carrying out the set-up of the process and parameters in various equipment of the line.
+ Generates documentation for new products and registers in the QIS system.
+ Verbal & Written English communication Proficiency
+ People management experience
