We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SMP Supervisor to join the Team at our Woodman Point project! In this role, you will effectively supervise and complete discipline nominated construction activities, within project quality, safety and environmental management plan guidelines.

 

Clough, as part of an alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility Upgrade, a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions.

Your focus will include:

Promote and ensure that safety and environmental working practises are adhered to.  Ensure that Safety and Environmental management systems (procedures, JSA, Method Statements) are followed.  Minimise the exposure of risks to your crew and the environment by identifying the hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages.  Plan the required work permits and obtain the relevant approvals to commence the work. Ensure that the work is planned and executed in accordance with the schedule (time), method statements, use of permanent and temporary materials, allocation of personnel, risk awareness and preventive measures, JSA’s and prepared check lists. Determine labour, plant, tools, consumables and equipment requirements for your area of discipline in sufficient time to allow for sourcing of the required goods.  Assist the Superintendent with the updating of progress and forecasts reports regarding time and cost.  Ensure effective use of permanent and temporary materials allocated to the job site.  Ensure that temporary access, machines, tools and equipment are properly maintained and serviced, in good working order, meet minimum required safety standards and are inspected regularly.  Ensure that the executed work is carried out in accordance with best safety practice (ie that the tools and equipment are properly used). Ensure that all documents, drawing, specifications, etc. used on the site are up to date and the latest revision.  Identify the need for technical support when and where required.  Ensure that the work is executed to the required quality standard.  Assist the superintendent in checking that the completed work meets the quality requirements. Administer and supervise sub-contracted work during the execution of the sub-contractor’s scope of work on site.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

Minimum 10 Years’ Experience in a resources industry construction environment 5+ years in supervisory role Ability to Supervise and mentor a team Construction White/Blue Card Current Australian “C” Class Drivers licence
