SMP Supervisor

This is an opportunity for a capable leader to play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-standard delivery of site maintenance operations, while supporting a positive relationship with the client.

Your Purpose:

You’ll work closely with site personnel to ensure all project operations meet both SRG Global’s standards and client expectations. Acting as a mentor and leader, you will guide the team to work safely and efficiently while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

This role contributes to profitability by managing costs, seeking operational improvements, and enhancing the performance of our delivery teams—helping SRG maintain its competitive edge in the market.

 

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day site maintenance operations Lead and supervise a team of technicians and trades personnel to ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard. Manage the planning and execution of installation, maintenance, and repair activities across mechanical, piping, and instrumentation systems. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to maintain project timelines and control costs. Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and stakeholders, providing progress updates and addressing any concerns promptly. Ensure all work complies with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures. Support the development of team members through on-site training, guidance, and mentoring. Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the refinement of work processes and operational practices. Act as the liaison between SRG and client representatives, including daily reporting and meetings Interpret technical drawings and apply them to practical maintenance and project work Assist in estimating labour, materials, and time requirements for upcoming work Coordinate daily PSI and toolbox meetings Plan and schedule preventative maintenance, monitor equipment performance Manage rosters, consumables, freight logistics, and site documentation Conduct site inspections, workplace assessments, and stocktakes Champion HSEQ performance including incident reporting, audits, and procedure compliance Support QA processes, register maintenance, and environmental risk management Ensure SWP, JHA, and TAKE 5 procedures are completed accurately and on time

Provide insights to the Project Manager on variations, risk, and workforce needs

Essential Qualifications:

Trade Certificate Cert III in Engineering or fabrication. Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role, with hot works experience Valid C Class Manual Driver’s Licence

Desirable Certifications:

Schedule 26 – Statutory Supervisor Training
