While we are a global company, Uber Eats’ success in Portugal comes from our strong local presence and deep partnerships with our merchants. The **SMB Account Manager** is central to this approach, owning and growing a defined portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) on our platform. This is a rare opportunity to contribute directly to Uber Eats’ growth in Portugal with a high level of ownership, strategic thinking, and a customer-obsessed mindset. \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ----
**Own a book of business**: You’ll manage a set of SMB merchants, driving business growth and improving performance across topline metrics like orders and partner engagement with the platform.
**Build meaningful relationships**: Become a trusted advisor for your merchants, helping them grow, enhance their visibility, and succeed on the Uber Eats platform.
**Drive performance**: You will be responsible for identifying opportunities within your portfolio, from improving menu quality to activating promotional levers and supporting merchant campaigns.
**Collaborate cross-functionally**: Work with sales, operations and support teams to bring the best experience to your portfolio and ensure merchants are maximizing their value from the platform.
**Represent Uber Eats**: Act as an ambassador for our mission, our merchants, and our users. Champion merchant needs internally and help drive product and process improvements.
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
01. **Experience:** 1–3 years in account management, client success, or sales roles. Experience working with B2B segment is a strong plus.
02. **Customer obsession:** Strong empathy and a drive to help others succeed. You put merchants first and build solutions around their needs.
03. **Executional excellence:** Reliable, organized, and focused. You can juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver impact consistently.
04. **Proactivity:** You take initiative, seek opportunities, and are not afraid to get hands-on to solve problems.
05. **Strategic thinking:** You connect the dots between goals and actions, and use data to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities.
06. **Adaptability:** Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with minimal structure.
07. **Communication skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English. Able to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
08. **Tools:** Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, Google Slides, and CRM platforms like Salesforce is a plus.
09. **Team player:** You contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing insights and helping others succeed.
10. **Hustle:** You’re resilient, energetic, and passionate about achieving results and driving real impact.
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. **Experience with SMB portfolios:** Prior experience managing small and medium-sized businesses in a marketplace, SaaS, or e-commerce environment, particularly with a focus on performance improvement and relationship growth.
2. **Food delivery or retail sector knowledge:** Familiarity with the restaurant industry, quick commerce, or retail ecosystems, including operational pain points and commercial dynamics.
3. **Salesforce or CRM proficiency:** Hands-on experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools for tracking interactions, performance, and pipeline management.
4. **Performance marketing understanding:** Working knowledge of digital marketing and promotions; able to help merchants understand visibility levers like ads, discounts, or campaign participation.
5. **Analytical literacy:** Ability to manipulate and interpret data using tools such as Excel/Google Sheets, SQL. Capable of building basic dashboards or tracking key metrics independently.

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber’s cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office.
