SMART-T Systems Administrator

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical Terminal (SMART-T) Field Service Representative (FSR).Performing analyses of system operations.Providing communication engineering, technical, and logistical support to the Government.Provide engineering support to design and update, as needed, satellite communications plans and network architecture.Technical support to develop and maintain communications sustainment plans and directly assist with and complete troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of communication networks.Technical support to directly assist via a web and satellite phone-based help desk.Once the systems are installed, the FSR shall continue to provide support for maintenance and upgrades as required.If required to, will perform system repairs to return each to the Full Operational Capability (FOC) or the U.S. Army’s 10/20 standard and in accordance with the applicable technical manuals (TMs).Provide continuing technical advice and assistance, maintenance, and repair support to the Government.Executing all required firmware and software upgrades and shall establish and execute a return materiel authorization (RMA) programSMART-T FSRs work directly with Military Units and civilian customers and counterparts to meet mission requirementsThe SMART-T System is a critical element of the battlefield and must be maintained at all times to give our Warfighters the edge.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: High School Diploma and 7 years of relevant experience working directly on the SMART-T System.
Required Technical Skills:
Needs to possess power grounding, computer, and installation experience. Prior experience as a 25Q Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) US Army or 0628 US Marine Corps Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).Electronics and electrical-mechanical equipment: communications-electronics, computer systems, sensor systems, SATCOM systems, optics, LAN and data communications, configuration and maintenance of servers, routers, switches, multiplexers, workstations and peripherals. Experience working with test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, signal generators, multi meters and special electronic equipment.Experienced with various COMSEC equipment and configurations.Able to troubleshoot and isolate hardware or software configuration malfunctions. Performs inspections of system components, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of modules and circuit cards to the component level.Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of SMART-T hardware systems and components.Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing and replacing hardware components; and use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools.● Security Clearance Level: Secret
● Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to brief system status to higher level military and civilian leadership.

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $105,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
