Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sleep Technician with experience in conducting, scoring, and reviewing sleep studies, including polysomnography (PSG) and home sleep apnea tests (HSAT). The role involves delivering patient education, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to support high-quality care. This position requires a strong focus on accuracy, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
ResponsibilitiesConduct and score sleep studies, including PSG and HSAT.Review sleep study results and deliver patient education.Maintain and troubleshoot sleep study equipment.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety protocols.Essential SkillsProven experience in sleep medicine and sleep study techniques.Current RPSGT certification.Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a sleep lab or clinical setting.Experience with scoring polysomnography and HSATs.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Experience in a clinical office or sleep medicine environment.Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.Work Environment
The position operates in a clinical environment with exposure to medical equipment, cleaning agents, and patient care. The role follows a Monday to Friday day shift schedule, with variability depending on patient needs, which may include early mornings or extended shifts for MSLT. The work setting requires adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and internal policies.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.50 - $40.00/hr.
