Position Overview
The SLC Owner applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to develop a standard configuration of BioFortis’ Labmatrix software, and to create and maintain technical documentation to ensure satisfied customers. This role has general responsibility for SLC planning and configuration and manages the implementation, maintenance, technical documentation, and resolution of complex SLC issues. This role generally interacts with internal stakeholders with a limited amount of direct client interaction.
Essential Job Functions
● Architect and maintain SLC functionality based on product requirements and development best practices within an agile environment.
● Serve as the SLC and Configuration development Subject Matter Expert (SME).
● Implement, refine and maintain the SLC UI/UX based on product requirements and industry best practices.
● Participate in agile development rituals to plan and keep the SLC releases on track.
● Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, developing alternative solutions as needed for SLC issues that require escalation to the developer.
● Create and maintain technical documentation for SLC releases.
● Collaborate with customer-facing teams to provide consultations on complex configuration implementations.
● Collaborate with the core software development and other technical teams to ensure an efficient and effective deployment process between SLC and the core product.
● Collaborate with software testing, and product to allow for comprehensive testing and development of the associated documentation.
● Monitor and maintain SLC performance metrics.
● Continuously learn and implement industry best practices for UI/UX, and software development.
● Collaborate with the core software development team to continuously understand new core functionality that is being implemented.
● Follow BioFortis policies, procedures and methodologies including Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Requirements
● Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Master’s Degree preferred, but not required.
● Industry certifications are favorably viewed.
● At least 1 year of software development or configuration experience preferred, but not required.
● Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, scientific research and/or pharmaceutical industries are a plus.
● Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is a plus
● Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Microsoft Excel, and SQL is a plus.
● Experience working in an Agile software development environment is a plus.
