**Skilled Laborer** Job Description The position of Fabricator requires the ability to read and analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to fabricate parts and components from various materials including plastic, rubber, and urethane. The role involves using a variety of light and heavy tools and machinery to make precise cuts and assemble fabricated components into complete units. Responsibilities + Read and analyze blueprints and drawings to determine material requirements and plan task sequences for layout, cutting, and fitting products. + Create and construct patterns and guides as templates for cutting. + Operate light machinery and power tools, including drill press, jigsaw, vertical saw, grinders, band saw, utility knife, tape measure, table saw, router, and manual mill. + Assemble components into complete units or subunits. + Operate a forklift to pull and stock materials. + Ensure quality control of parts by measuring dimensions using measuring tools such as calipers. Essential Skills + 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a heavy industrial setting. + 2+ years of production experience involving fabrication and assembly. + Proficiency with power tools: table saw, drill press, jigsaw, grinders, drill, and vertical band saw. + Proficiency with hand tools: utility knife and calipers. + Ability to measure in both metric and imperial units using a tape measure. + Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. + Physical capability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day. The team is multicultural, and the facility employs about 50 people. The shift is Monday through Thursday, 5 am to 3:30 pm.
