**Skilled Laborer** Job Description The Service Technician is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the refurbishment and preparation of modular products. These products include mobile office trailers, section modular offices, container offices, and storage containers. Responsibilities + Perform repairs and modifications on modular buildings, including framing, carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear. + Conduct plumbing tasks such as urinal traps and handles, changing toilets, and maintaining sink taps and fixtures. + Collaborate with other service technicians to clean units upon arrival to ensure readiness for customer deployment. + Work in trailers, the shop, and the yard. + Ensure trailers are ready for delivery with high first-time quality. + Load and unload materials and products as required. + Maintain proper inventory levels of equipment, tools, and parts needed for service tasks. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the lawn, parking lot, and building. + Uphold a safe working environment and practice safe working habits. + Paint trailer exteriors and perform office maintenance as needed. + Inspect old equipment as per specifications and remove from stock. + Spend approximately 25% of time cleaning trailers and all products/materials inside, including floors, windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors. Essential Skills + Experience as a Service Technician within construction, restoration, or remediation. + 6+ months of carpentry experience. + 6+ months of basic plumbing experience. + Knowledge of hand and power tools such as saws, drills, ratchets, and screwdrivers. + Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively. + Proficiency in documenting site paperwork and logging into a computer. Employees will operate in an outdoor yard and inside trailers, handling modular homes in need of repair. Safety gear such as steel-toe boots, hard hats, safety vests, gloves, and goggles will be provided. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with limited overtime required. Summer hours may vary. A dress code of long pants and shirts is enforced.
