As a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, you will lead projects and initiatives located at our prime product facilities in North America as well as the remaining Paving facilities outside of North America. Your primary focus will be to identify waste within the Paving Product Development and Maintenance areas and execute projects to eliminate that waste. This involves collaborating with the global extended Paving team including business resources, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and supply chain to develop targets, identify projects to close gaps, and report out to leadership.
What You Will Do:
Lead the effort to identify both Lean and Cost opportunities for Cat Paving. This includes working with cross-functional leadership as well as the working teams to charter projects and get them piloted and in-place.Lead the effort at Paving to simplify our products to achieve both cost reduction and development efficiency.Lead the effort to drive efficiency in the Paving product maintenance space. This includes current product updates, quality fixes, component source changes, and other maintenance activities.What You Have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, coupled with extensive and progressive experience in product development, with a foundational understanding of product cost inputs, accounting methodologies, and tracking metrics.Proven experience in project management, with a track record of leading cost projects and initiatives, particularly in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Demonstrated ability to influence through expertise, effectively guiding and mentoring teams and stakeholders to achieve long-term competitive cost structure goals without direct leadership responsibilities.Strong skills in requirements analysis, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (including business resources, engineering, manufacturing, commercial, and supply chain) to develop targets, identify projects to close gaps, and report progress to leadership.Top Candidates Will Have:
Master’s degree in business or engineering.Six Sigma BB CertificationHigh level of verbal and written communication skills; an ability to see the big picture; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently with a diverse global team.Experience with data analysis, manipulation, and relevant tools (Excel, PowerBi, Tableau, etc.).Additional Info:
Caterpillar operates in a in-person work environment, requiring 5 days per week of onsite, in office work.Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.15% international and domestic travel is expected.ISE is not available.Visa sponsorship is not available.Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
