Job Overview:
The Site Supply Chain Director (SSCD) is responsible for overseeing all supply chain operations within their assigned affiliate(s), which may include one or more affiliated locations. This leadership role ensures that all supply chain contracts and initiatives are effectively operationalized at the site level, aligning with organizational standards and goals.
The SSCD plays a critical role in coordinating activities to guarantee the availability of the right products, equipment, and services for customers—at the right time and at the right price. While the SSCD ensures logistical and operational readiness, clinical efficacy decisions and user education fall outside the scope of this position.
As a key liaison across affiliates, the SSCD collaborates with Finance, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Contracting, and other departments to identify and resolve issues promptly, escalating matters when appropriate to ensure continuity and efficiency across the supply chain.

Ensure that all supply chain processes align with the RWJBH goals and objectivesLeads a team of supply chain specialists from assistant directors, managers, supervisors, coordinators, technicians, and attendantsIdentifying and providing all staff training to ensure the success of each employeeHolds the responsibility for the management and supervision of their staffFostering a healthy nurturing environment by which the staff can flourish,Be in their assigned affiliate no later than 8am unless prior arrangements have been made with the corporate supply chain teamAttire should be business casual.All SSCDs with a company issued phone are expected to respond to company related urgent or emergent concerns after hoursTrack the status of contracts, once executed coordinate operationalizing the agreementAssist end users with entering PeopleSoft PS requisitions processed timely; This does not mean keying requisitions, it means offering support to end usersAssist end users with obtaining quotesAbility to problem solve and offer solutions to concernsManage product challenges, communicate with suppliers, and identify clinically appropriate substitutions with the guidance of the market clinical resource director MCRD or regional clinical resource directorCollaborate with the MCRD to ensure all equipment and supplies are clinically acceptable for use in the assigned affiliateCoordinate bulk purchasesIdentify and assist with supply needs for construction and renovation projects when neededEnsure receiving functions are completed timely including transactions in PeoplesoftEnsure department ordering practices limit the need for STAT overnight or second day Peoplesoft requisitions by offering guidance on sound inventory management practicesManage the sourcing, delivery, stocking, replenishment, and rotation of all supplies in those areas of the facility where supply chain has the sole responsibility of inventory managementMaintain a log of monthly audits of all storerooms to ensure products are not expired, stored in corrugated boxes, maintained 18 gap from the ceiling, not stored on the floor and storage containers are dust and dirt freeIdentify savings opportunities and collaborate with the MCRD for approval and executionAttend monthly value analysis team meetingsPrepare to facilitate meetings as neededMeet the established monthly Key Performance Indicators KPICreate an action plan to resolve any indicator that falls below the established targetMonitor the action plan and provide monthly updates to the corporate supply chain teamIdentify and provide education where needed with the assistance of the corporate supply chain educatorCoordinate and reconcile annual inventory countsEnsure that consigned inventory is documented and maintained per policy with monthly counts and reconciliation in collaboration with the vendor representativeEnsure all supply chain facility operations policy and procedures are reviewed annually and always adheredConduct documented daily staff safety huddles, weekly team meetings and more frequent gatherings as neededAttend mandatory SSCD meetingsEstablish a monthly cadence of meetings with key stakeholders to include the finance officer, nursing, and OR to name a fewKeep these key stakeholders informed of any supply chain pertinent challenges,Other Duties:
