To assist the site manager and supervise the M&E scope of works on site including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring any subcontractors whilst feeding back the necessary information to the site manager.
+ Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site.
+ Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed
+ Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
+ Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner
+ To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels
+ To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively
+ To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team
+ To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions
+ To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded
+ Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business.
+ Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
+ Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as built drawings
+ Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including Low Voltage procedures and Impressed Voltage procedures
+ Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project
+ Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.
+ Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.
+ Responsible for interpreting the organization's policies, purposes, and goals to staff.
+ Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.
+ Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ Complies with all policies and standards
**Qualifications**
+ General Certificate of Secondary Education applicable years of exp in lieu of degree 8 years of experience in the T&D industry in an M&E role, preferably on National Grid sites Required
+ Full UK driving licence
+ Nation Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full
+ IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS
+ IOSH environmental or equivalent
+ CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
+ Previous experience in a supervisory level
+ HNC / HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
+ Formal Electrical / Mechanical training
+ Impressed Voltage training
+ Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience
+ IOSH environmental or equivalent
+ HSG47
+ IOSH environmental or equivalent
