We’re looking for a Site Supervisor / Landscaping Crew Leader to join our team in West Michigan. This hybrid role includes both hands-on crew leadership and supporting day-to-day operations across our West Michigan branches.

What You’ll Do:Lead landscaping and enhancement crews in the field as neededSupport branch operations including scheduling, logistics, and job quality checksAssist with training, safety compliance, and client satisfactionHelp manage snow operations during the winter season at the Benton Harbor locationWhat We’re Looking For:A current Michigan Chauffeur’s License, or willingness to obtain one before starting (at your own cost) - RequiredPreferred: Valid MDARD Pesticide Applicator Licenses (3A, 3B, and 6)Experience in site supervision or landscape operations leadership - RequiredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to respond to snow events quickly — must live within 30 minutes of Benton Harbor

You’d be responsible for:

Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are metSurface customer problems or concerns and report back to Operations ManagerAssist in resolving issues with customer service when neededEnsure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policiesCommunicate regularly with Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceededMonitor site quality daily and ensure crews are addressing deficiencies dailyDeliver services as specified on client siteWork to identify more efficient ways to perform workCoordinate service execution with Operation ManagerOversee day to day site operations and delegate work to crew team members (may include working in the field with teams)Supervising snow removal operations in Benton Harbor Monitor the weather and call in employees and subcontractors and working throughout snowfall events in Benton Harbor, MI Provide Operations Manager feedback on crew member(s)Work with Crew Leader/Operations Manager, helping to develop and train crew membersEnsure equipment preventative maintenance is performed as needed and equipment is in good working orderParticipate in branch meetings as directedEnsure crew time is accurately captured. Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles    

You might be a good fit if you have:

BrightView Equipment certificationsExperience in a landscape-related fieldDemonstrated leadership among the team and with peersMUST have a Chauffer’s License; OR BE WILLING TO OBTAIN ONE BEFORE HIRE DATE - must be current and good Driving record, strong leadership, and familiarity with the techniques and equipment used in landscaping.MUST be able to pass a Criminal Background check; Driving record check; Drug Test and DDOT Medical ExamMUST EITHER hold a current MDOT Medical Card; OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN ONE within 48 hours of OfferAttention to detail requiredAbility to communicate to crews and customer on-siteBi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred

 

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the dayAbility to Walk/Stand up to 10 hours a day.Must be able to direct report to customer site.
