Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) with at least 5 years of relevant experience to support vertical construction projects in Be'er Sheva, Israel, in collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
This initial assignment is expected to last 30-36 months, with potential opportunities to transition to other international or U.S.-based projects upon completion.
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry and Construction standardsFamiliarity with EM 385-1-1, DOT regulations, and local fire codesOSHA 30 certificationPrior experience with the Army Corps of Engineers or similar federal agencies such as NAVFAC, DOD (state-level), DOS, or OBO (Overseas Building Operations)Why you should be interested:

Education & Experience (one of the following):
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projectsMinimum 5 years of experience as an SSHO on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projectsAdditional Requirements:
OSHA 30-Hour CertificationWorking knowledge of OSHA General Industry and Construction standards, EM 385-1-1, DOT regulations, and local fire codesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and BluebeamStrong ability to identify on-site safety risks and respond with appropriate actionExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAuthorized to work in the U.S.Work environment:
The SSHO is based at U.S. Military Base at Mashabim Air Base in Be'er Sheva, Israel.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
