We are part of the Security Business Group (SBG) spanning across Europe, US and Canada. Internally this team is known as "Path Pavers." The team builds common platforms in the DevSecOps space to standardize and accelerate product engineering teams infrastructure and software delivery. We are an established team that is continually looking to improve our delivery and advance our capabilities. We are looking for an engineer with a passion for working in the CI/CD, logging, monitoring, cloud infrastructure and process automation space.
Your Impact
You will collaborate with many teams within the Threat Detection & Response group (Part of SBG). You will encounter many different security products, both internally and externally facing to customers as the landscape evolves as Cisco invests in these strategic offerings. We balance teamwork and integration with autonomy and innovation to deliver the most effective solution to our customers’ problems. The outstanding mix of our innovative approach to security and Cisco’s industry dominance surpasses what any other security startup could ever achieve on its own.
You will become a part of the Path Pavers team supporting Security products by building and maintaining core infrastructure and onboarding new users and products across the SBG portfolio.
• Working with TeamCity CI/CD jobs
• Working with AWS Infrastructure and being a SME on S3, IAM
• Aiming for repeatability and durability with Terrafrorm as our IaaC
• Helping to maintain and simplify our compliance footprint
• Scaling our use of Splunk (A Cisco product) internally and streamlining our observability lens
• Support high-performance teams across multiple tech stacks to modernize the Extended Detection & Response (XDR) offering.
• Collaborating with other specialists to review code changes, communicate progress, and finalize system requirements
• Collaborating with a myriad of internal teams that range from Data Scientists to UI Engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years hands-on Linux systems administration experience (e.g. RedHat, CentOS)
* 5+ years relevant system coding/scripting (Bash, Python, Perl and Java or similar)
* 4+ years Cloud systems engineering experience (preferably AWS)
* 2+ years with network configuration and support
* 2+ years of experience with configurations management / IaaS technologies (Terraform, Cloud Formation or Ansible)
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience delivering a SaaS-based software product
* Understanding of Development (Agile), Testing, Change and Release management practices at scale
* Experience working with issue and project tracking management software (e.g., Jira, GitHub)
* Experience with version control and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub actions)
* Experience with application performance monitoring & error tracking solutions
* Strong verbal and written communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to express complex/technical issues in clear concise terms.
* Experience working with customers to support troubleshooting and bug fixes
